Founded in 1967 as an F.A.A. Repair Station by Henry Krug following his retirement from the B.F. Goodrich fuel cell division, by 1975 Aero Tech Services, Inc., began manufacturing fuel cells for general aviation. The expanding product line soon encompassed fuel bladders and ferrying tanks for race cars, boats, and many World War II planes undergoing restoration.

Having designed and built a fuel cell for the Carnegie-Mellon Institute in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, which was installed in a robot named "Dante" and utilized for exploration by NASA into the interior of a large Antartic volcano, Aero-Tech has also participated in a program with the Lockheed Missile and Space Company wherein Aero-Tech Services, Inc., fuel cells were fabricated and installed in a drone built for the United States Army. This five-year program required subjecting Aero-Tech Services, Inc., product to Mil-T-6396C testing and approval. In the marketplace, approximately twenty thousand Aero-Tech fuel cells have been well received by both FBOs and the public. For over 40 years, nearly all of our business has come by referral, and that can be attributed to our ability to supply a reliable and quality product along with good service and competitive pricing.
